Yi costumes are colorful and original in style. They vary in forms with nearly a hundred designs. In the history, there are many branches in Yi ethnic group living separately around the area, so each of them have their own styles, distinctive from others. The climate change in many regions of Liang Mountain is not obvious, so Yi costumes do not have many seasonal characteristics. ChaErWa(similar to cloak) is needed for the whole year. Yi costumes are rich in colors and designs, with silver and embroidery decorations.
